 Blurb for Nocturnal:

Seventeen-year-old Ava-Claire Sullivan isn't one for doing the expected. Especially when she finds out her mother's cancer is terminal. After a crying session in the local cemetery where she's attacked by one strange guy and saved by another, she doesn't call the cops. Because those guys definitely weren't your average hooligans.

And the one who sort-of saved her? Well, he's odd. He doesn't seem to breathe or smile or have anything better to do than wait in the cemetery for Ava to come back. Which she does. Call it morbid curiosity. Even after he warns her that he's dangerous, she can't stop wanting to see him, talk to him, be with him.

There's something about Peter that provides a much-needed escape from her mother's diagnosis and her tenuous relationship with her father. Even her best friends Jamie and Texas don't know what it's like to face death. But Peter does. He already has. He also made a promise a long time ago that could destroy both of them.

When everything in your life is falling apart, what are you willing to give up to hold onto the one thing that could last forever?

Blurb for Nightmare:

Ava-Claire Sullivan still doesn't follow the rules. She shouldn't have let Peter Claim her, turning her into his own personal blood bank. She shouldn't have told Tex Peter was immortal because now her best friend won't shut up about hooking up with Peter's equally immortal brother, Viktor. And she shouldn't have fallen in love with Peter.

Too late.

Sometimes, love kills. One promise Peter made nearly a hundred years ago could do it. A kiss, a touch could be the end of him. So all she has to do is not let him fall in love with her. Easier said than done.

But Ava's going to find a way for him to be free, even if it kills her. Or makes her immortal. There's no way she's losing Peter in addition to her mother. No freaking way.

What would you do when the one you love would die if they loved you back?

Interview with Texas Hamilton:

Thank you for stopping in today Tex, we’re so glad to meet you
Right back at you!
Please detail for us how you got your full name, Texas Sarsaparilla Anne Hamilton?
Ugh, my parents are lame, that's how I got it. They didn't want a name that just everyone would have so they decided I'd be named after a place. They couldn't have picked Paris, or something normal like that. No, they had to pick Texas. Then they wanted two middle names, and they liked the word Sarsaparilla and thought it worked with the sort of western theme. Yeah, that's right, my name has a theme. Then they threw in Anne for good measure.

Ava told us that someday you want to legally change your name. Do you know what you will change it to?
I'm still working on that. I like to try out different names and see how they fit. I've tried Lola, but that wasn't right. Scarlet didn't work, either. I'm thinking about Marilyn or Audrey. Or both. How can you go wrong with that?

What were your innermost thoughts when you first met Peter? Did you sense that he was really different?
I thought Ava had lost her damn mind, to be honest. She told me he was weird, but I totally thought he'd have some strange hobby, or that he looked funny. Peter instantly gave me the heebie jeebies, and I had no idea why. I just knew that I didn't want to stand next to him. Then when she explained what he was, it all made sense. He still gives me the creeps, but his brother sure doesn't.
If he weren’t so taken with Ava, do you think you would try to date him? Is he as handsome as Ava thinks? They say love is blind.
Ugh no, he's way too... I don't know. I can see what attracts her to him, but he's so closed off. I never really feel like I'm safe with him. Like any second he's going to go for my neck. I know that's not possible, but it still freaks me out. He's not my kind of guy. I go for blonds myself, but I guess I could see the appeal. Ava's completely gone. She loves him and I don't even think she's aware of it. He could turn into a drooling zombie and she'd still want him.
And when Ava finally shared the truth about Peter, you wanted to know if Peter had a brother. Wasn’t this whole thing sounding pretty dangerous to you?
Sure, but what's life without danger? Human guys are lame. They say all the right things and then you fall for them and then they break up with you and tell the entire baseball team that he slept with you and that you sucked at it. Human guys are jerks.

When you met Viktor in Nightmare, what was it about him that tripped your trigger, so to speak?
He's Russian, tall and gorgeous. What more do you need? He's every woman's fantasy man, and if he's not, there's something seriously wrong with you. He's so freaking tall and strong. Plus, he loves history. I love a man who can talk dates. When he told me he knew the dates of the Irish Potato famine, that was it.

What was your reaction to Cal?
Run away. Run away, right now.

Do you think Ava has shared everything with you now? Or do you feel there are more secrets to be shared?
That girl knows how to keep her secrets. When her mom got sick, it was like pulling teeth to get her to admit it. She finally just broke down once when we were out for pizza. I knew something was up with her, but she wouldn't give it up. I hate it when she does that. I don't know why she feels like she can't tell me things. I know there's something else going on with her now, but I can't figure out what it is. Sooner or later, she'll tell me. I'm just waiting.

Thank you for being with us today, Tex; it’s been a pleasure getting to know you better!
You too. Oh, I gotta go, there's a hot Russian waiting for me.
And there you have it , from the mouth of Ava's best friend Texas Hamilton.
"I just love her don't you?"
